Freeze, Thaw and What It Costs You

Keep water moving off the roof and out of the gutters so it has less opportunity to sit and freeze, keep the attic cold and dry so the roof deck stays the same temperature as the air outside, and deal with cracked sealant and lifted fasteners while they are still small enough to be repairs. None of it is glamorous work, and all of it buys years.
Ask Who Is Actually on Your Geist Roof

If a contractor cannot describe that sequence to you before you sign, the allowance in their estimate isn't there to protect you. It's there to protect their number, and you will discover the difference on the one morning you have the least room to do anything about it.
